Our Tax Team
You’ll join our 35-strong Tax Team, managing both corporate and private clients. The work is diverse and technically challenging, covering compliance and advisory projects such as reorganisations, disposals, and due diligence work.
Job Description
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns, identifying technical risks and planning opportunities.
- Support tax planning and advisory services.
- Assist partners with corporate and OMB projects/consultancy work, resolving complex and varied issues.
- Identify and develop advisory opportunities with the firm’s clients.
- Prepare technical materials, including factsheets and articles.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Provide guidance to audit and accountancy teams, working toward becoming a subject matter expert.
- Prepare and deliver, or assist in the preparation of, internal and external presentations and training courses.
- Support marketing initiatives, including factsheet preparation and tender submissions.
- Stay up to date with UK taxation and other relevant accountancy developments.
- Manage lock-up on allocated jobs or projects, including billing and debt collection.
We would love to hear from you if you have
- Part-qualified or newly qualified ATT/CTA
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
- Hands-on corporate tax experience (preparing/reviewing returns is essential)
- Exposure to tax advisory or planning work is a plus
- Experience supporting audit or accounts teams on tax matters is advantageous
- Solid understanding of UK corporate tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Ability to identify technical risks and planning opportunities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters clearly
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Proactive, team-oriented, and confident in supporting colleagues and partners
